India in previous partnership with Piaggio still manufacture thousands of these
wonderful scooters each year. Despite
Piaggio 150/200 geared machines being withdrawn due to European emission legislations,
LML 125 Star DLX euro III conformed will be still available from march
2008 onwards at very competitive costs. | |

LML Story
1972 Incorporated
as Lohia Machines Private Limited, engaged in manufacture of Synthetic Yarn Manufacturing
Machines in technical collaboration with ARCT, France. 1978
Became a Public Limited Company and diversified into processing Synthetic Yarn.
1984 Technical Collaboration agreement was
signed with Piaggio of Italy 1984 - Set up its scooter project 1986
LML NV launched 1990 Relationship with
Piaggio redefined to that of a partner, both partners having equal equity participation
of 23.6 % each. 1993 LML-Select launched
with new age technology and aesthetics, became an instant success. 1999
Agreement signed with Daelim Motor Company (South Korea) to manufacture 4S Motorcycles
1999 Agreement with Piaggio ended.
2000 Recognized by the Ministry of Science
and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi for remarkable success in introducing
new models/ upgrades of scooters in the market with more fuel-efficient engines,
new electrical systems, latest emission norms, upgraded technology, better styling
etc. 2000 Entered the motorcycle market
with upper end lifestyle bikes in 100cc, using 3-valve technology. 2002
Launch of Freedom, LML's first deluxe commuter motorcycle in 110cc. 2003
Launch of Spirit of Freedom (range expansion through colours) 2004
Unveiling of LML GRAPTOR, making its entry into the 150cc lifestyle segment.
2004 Marks LML's transition from a single
product Company to a Muti-Product two wheeler Company with three simultaneous
launches, LML GRAPTOR(150 cc), LML FREEDOM PRIMA (110 cc), LML FREEDOM PRIMA (125
cc). Since 1999 LML india has continue to manufacture the Indian "PX"
and export just started in Europe........
